Work in faith, labor in love, and have endurance in hope, all found in Jesus. And now if you believe in Jesus Christ and confess He is Lord over your life, you are saved and the Holy Spirit is the seal put on you affirming this. God doesn’t want you to walk in confusion but He has chosen you. Believe it. Faith, Love, and Trust. Faith is tied to righteousness. Or, by another name, to justification. As in, “The righteous shall live by faith,” and, “without faith it is impossible to please him [God] …”. Faith establishes a believer’s righteousness. And not, by the way, as a choice of the will but as a heartfelt response to God’s love. From a theological point of view, one might say that love is the greatest because it is essential to the very nature of God. As we read in 1 John 4:8, "God is love." Scripture never says that God is faith or hope, though he is the object of our faith and hope, to be sure. Love is as necessary to the triune God as blood is to a living being.
